Denver @ Golden State - Denver -6
I am in love with the Nuggets, and I'll be the first to tell you that I'm not sure how they'll weather against losing teams, they haven't played since the Celtics beat down, and well on the road against real teams they bring their A game, but on the road against bullshitters such as Golden State they tend to not show up sometimes.. Now with that said here is what I believe is different about Denver playing GS then playing Sacramento and Washington. Washington had Josh Howard and I think that he and the team desperately needed to prove something, this in addition to the Nuggets playing back to back right after a win against Cleveland. So, in my mind what seems to happen is Washington got Denver to play off their game, a 107-97 loss... not a super high scoring game. I'll say this, Denver beat Denver that night, not Washington. It was because they beat Cleveland. Golden State has a 56.4% covering record but I think that is because they are able to out run and gun mediocre teams in which most of the time books over value. Teams that are able to beat Denver are big teams, that have a strong Bigs presence. This, folks is not Golden State... Not only are they tiny but the way they beat opponents are they out score them, however Golden State has had some offensive problems, with their top scorer out and Ellis not doing his part as he showed in the Atlanta game and against Philadelphia only shooting 37.9 percent and scoring 102 points, one of their lowest totals. With Melo and Chauncy the Nuggets are going out score this defenseless small team.
