Well after seeing Kobe hit another game winner last night all I gotta say is damn. Watching the lakers a few games without Kobe I thought they looked like a good squad. Maybe a little like Utah playing good fundamental ball and winning some games. But in the close game they lost against the celtics, the team really looked out of its element when trying to get a good shot for a win. Just goes to show you how much Kobe means to this team and the difference he makes. I wouldn't want the ball in anyones hand at the end of the game except Kobe, and let him pass off or shoot. With Kobe out there the lakers can win close games, or at least have a good chance at it.

honestly, fukk Kobe... That game isn't even a 1 point game without him on the floor. I've been saying it till I'm blue in the face that the Lakers are actually a fundamentally "better" squad without Kobe on the floor for the entire game...
No, I'm not saying Kobe is a bad player, all I'm saying is that the Lakers play a different game when he is not in the lineup... obviously...
The Lakers are a deep team, with a lot of talent... All that talent gets bottlenecked when Kobe plays, as all those players must "think Kobe first" or at least let Kobe control the ball and make plays. He dribbles a lot, which makes others wait, which slows down productive movement on the floor. I've watched the Lakers play the last couple weeks without him and it's amazing the way they move and find the "best option" and it shows even more when they are winning games they are 7+ point dogs in...
I honestly look at that game last night and I wonder if it would have even been that close without Kobe taking his 25 shots, although I will credit him with a good shooting game last night % wise...
I just can't stress how much more I like the way the Lakers play without him... Are they a championship team without him? I say No... Teams need a "star" and a "leader" to win championships. But in the regular season, that Laker team can get it done against anybody without Kobe on the floor for even 1 minute of a game...Comment
