you want him not to play, teams play better when they don't play for a period of time and you'll get line value usually. the line is adjusted for that and they still actually play with a fifth guy when he doesn't play believe it or not. people put too much merit when stars don't play, but the fact is there are guys on the bench in most cases that are very close in talent...this isn't college and it is a team game.

I agree with you on the stars part of your post.Look at Washington even more example right now,a guy like Blatche or even Howard for that matter were just waiting for the chance to get more minutes and to start and now there winning ball games......It changes a teams offense in my opinion, they started to spread the ball around more & look to get more people involved......the guy whose been riding the bench all season & has little to no minutes can still hit shots , or rebound...there in the NBA for a reason.

I'm all over Miami, even to cover tonight...Minny is terrible on the road & they DO NOT DEFEND.If Wade was in the lineup, and with the way the Heat have been winning...the line may have been 2 - 4 points more in my opinion.
