Sharps - tell us what the Tuesday lines will be....
I haven't been betting hoops much but my square ass will take a guess as to what the openers will be tomorrow:

    NO
    Cle 10-

    Minny
    Mia 12

    NY
    Bos 12-

    Port 8
    NJ

    LAL 4
    Mem

    Phx
    OKC 6

    Det
    Sac 4-

    Phi
    GS 3-

Kind of hard since there are some injuries (questionable/probable) but it's amazing through the years how close some cappers can get. Unfortunately I'm not one of them especially when I'm not actively following a sport.

Glitch we both nailed Portland, some of the games we're waiting for lines though. Nice job buddy even if you have the wrong team favored in the Det/Sac game.

Which games are way off in your opinion? I post these all the time, why not share your opinion what the lines should be before they are posted. I've found once the books hang their lines then everyone becomes a genius. I'll put up Wednesday games soon (after dinner), show me what you got. Plus all the lines for Tuesday are not up yet, which one's are way off?

I think your Miami line is off by at least 2, maybe 3.

edit: I am by no means a sharp. Just dropping my two pennies.

I'm no sharp either, everyone welcome. You say off 2/3 points in Miami game, which way? You think 12 is too many points or not enough?

Sniper - no problem buddy, appreciate your inputs. I also like NO plus the points, I think it's too many for a team that is playing well right now.

I meant 12 is too many points to give. I'll even be hesitant to take Miami without Wade at -9 on anybody, New Jersey included. If I have to take a stab at the spread, based purely on gut (no fancy smancy systems here)... I'll have to say it's MIA -8.5

Teal - you could very well end up being right, maybe 12 is a bit high. Yeah they would miss Wade (he's doubtful) but they are 2-0 ATS last 2 games without him. The reason the spread is so high is Minny has just been awful on the road. Last 3 games there they didn't cover and lost by 9, 23 and 22 points respectively. Those 3 teams aren't world beaters either, Miami better than any of the 3, suddenly 12 doesn't sound all that farfetched. Anyway this is part of the reason I like to do threads like this, it gets you talking about the games. Right or wrong thanks for participating.

By the way, it opened at -6.5 and closed at -8. And Minny won that game, lol. I think when teams lose their star, they step up for a game or two. But they just can't sustain their elevated play. Especially on a team like Miami, who's going to consistently play above their norm? Beasely? Hell no!

Teal - great call on your part. No question about it you were right, I couldn't have been more off on this game if I tried. I've assigned 1 point to you, good work sir.

PS - do you like doing these? I do them daily now that I am boning up my power rankings for the tourney/playoffs, will do it more if you and/or others think you get anything out of it. Let me know, I'm rusty as hell and could use some work. Problem is you got to do them in advance, most are betting the games for that night and not worried about the future games so much.
