I admit it, I am an LBJ fan.
Hey all. Now I know I'm going to get ripped on, and could care less, for what I am going to tell you is the truth, and nothing but.
A few years ago I knew nothing about basketball (still really don't) except that the Raptors had once (I think) made it to the playoffs (I'm from Canada). I never really cared for the sport and never thought I would.

I, like most kids at one point or another had sported a Magic Johnson or Michael Jordan shirt, some Air Jordans - but never played organised bball, never really had a favorite team, wtf is a pick and roll.... etc etc.

I, like most males in Canada, save the gays, have always had an some interest in sports - hockey, football, whatever, but never basketball.

We have this channel here in Canada called "The Score - Home of the Hardcore" - you may get it where you live, Im not sure. But the channel is freaking awesome. Always shows great highlights, witty show hosts, great analysis, and even a couple shows for us gamblers.

Anyway, from time to time I'd see what I consdidered to be this freak of a man on a baskebtall court. Ridiculous plays, a BIG man doing things men that size shouldnt be able to do - but day after day, there he was on my TV in various highlight reals showing me "AMAZING" - His name, LeBron James, aka "The King" - apparently other people already heard about this guy and had already crowned him.

My interest in basketball was peaked. I began looking up highlght reels on youtube from his college days, watched that documentary on his college team and before I knew it, I found myself nightly looking to see if his team had won or not.

Being Canadian I obviously love hockey. I've never been a fan of Sidney Crosby's, but I have been a fan of Ovechkin. It's hard not to draw comparisons between Ovechkin and LBJ. Although LBJ may whine about calls like Sid the Kid.

So for the time being I am an LBJ fan, then a Cavs fan, then a Raptors fan - if LBJ moves, my fandom may as well. Why am I telling you guys this, meh, not sure... Probably because of all the LBJ is overrated or folks talking smack about the guy. You have to admit, he is one of the most dynamic and fun-to-watch guys in the NBA - unless you really HATE him, which I think many do.

Anyway, to sum things up Im probably a sell out when it comes to picking a team to like, but what do I care - if it wasn't for highlights of LBJ, I prolly wouldn't be into the sport at all (Thanks LBJ!!!), Im now mainly into basketball for betting purposes, I dont really know bugger all about the sport, and LBJ is one of the greatest players to ever walk on a basketball court - in my humble opinion which obviously isnt worth much

Do what you want, hate away, like I said I could care less.

Just one correction, you watched his high school highlights and the video on his high school team. He never went to college, was far too good.

For anyone who hasn't seen it, Lebron fan or not, More Than a Game is worth watching. The movie doesn't focus on Lebron at all and is a truly inspiring story and a well-produced documentary.

As Bill Simmons said, no one has generated excited in an arena like Lebron since Jordan. He's a truly amazing talent and should be appreciated.

Haha nice. This entire quote should be true for all who claim LBJ is already one of, if not, the greatest of all time. Most just don't have the foresight to include the unbolded text you did above. So kudos.

I don't post much in this website, but have been a Cavs fan all my life. Grewup in Ohio and remember the days of Jim Chones, Bingo Smith, Austin Carr etc. etc. I did lose interest in the early ninties due to the state of the organization but was glad when they drafted Lebron. This may be the only chance Cleveland has at winning a championship in a while. Let's hope Lebron and company get it done. Especially to shut up all the Lebron haters in the website, but I'm sure they will fins other reasons to hate on him!

Lyndon Baines Johnson probably would have lasted two terms if it wasn't for Vietnam.

I wouldn't call myself a fan, but he was alright

The Score TV station is perfect!

court surfing all day! court cuts too, and they have actual in depth full hour long recaps.
