frankly id rather have butler/jamison go to other teams than the celts - its like getting another ray allen and kevin garnett, albeit to a lesser extent, championship teams are supposed to be built, not bought.

I agree here, and Celts are my team. But when I see teams buying champsionships (a la Yankees, Red Sox (to a lesser extent) celts etc it doesnt mean as much as it does when you have a team you built.

I think the celts championship from a couple years ago would mean more to me if they had pierce and a couple other players that they had drafted win. Just buying these talents makes it less..for lack of a better term....satisfying.
