Hello all to wonderful Super Bowl XLIV weekend. There are some very interesting and profitable NBA and NCAA games to choose from today on Saturday as we head to Super Bowl countdown and the big game tomorrow.
Here are three really solid NBA play I like for today:
a) Houston Rockets (-5.5) at home to cover vs. 76ers: Both teams are coming off nice wins but Houston ranks up their talent wise with the likes of Phoenix and San Antonio. Meaning they are a top 8 or top 9 team in the NBA this year. At home....this spread seems too low and expect HOU to win by double digits as their defense will clamp down in the 4th quarter on a struggling Philadelphia offense.
b) Cavs (-12.5) to cover at home vs. NY Knicks: Cavs are white hot right now and look unstoppable going for win #11 in a row. Boobie Gibson will be back for the Cavaliers too as Shaq and J.J.Hickson are playing out of their minds right now. LBJ should go for 35+ points tonight too as Cavs should roll 107-89.
c) Spurs (-3) or Moneyline to cover at Clippers: San Antonio is the midst of a grueling 8 game stretch in which they are struggling to reach 50 wins this season due to their mediocre play both at home and on the road, where they are only 9-10. However playing a terrible Clippers team is just what they need to chalk up an easy win against a sub .500 team. Spurs seem to have a terrific 18-2 record against sub .500 teams this year....while they are 8 games below .500 against play off contending teams. Telling stat here....
.....take Spurs (-3) or buy some points if you are nervous.
If you tail me today....expect to have a 70% chance to go 3-0. I am very confident with these three picks today. And for my NCAA picks here is the post I made earlier today:
