Cleveland Cavaliers -13
Cavs are just crazy at the moment. Riding the BronBron train again. Let's do this. Knicks are 3-7 ATS on back to back games and only 8-14 ATS on the road. Cavs are on a long winning streak and riding a 6 game ATS winning streak with 3 games as a double digit fave (9.5-point fave against the Heat if you want some more). Again, the Cavs are blowing out teams left and right. Knicks has only been double digit dogs 6 times this season and they've covered 5 of those games. Pretty strong ATS stat there but IMO I wouldn't want to go against the streak at the moment. When the Cavs are hot, they're damn hot!
Detroit Pistons -7.5
We just backed the Nets to cover against the Celts and they delivered. They've won 5 games ATS in their last 6 and I think this struggling Detroit team gives them an L in their ATS record. With almost the same ATS record on back to back games, both teams are playing the 3rd game in 4 nights BUT with the Nets playing all 3 on the road. I'm taking Detroit here as they are the better team overall than the Nets. They are improving everyday (although it doesn't reflect in their W/L card) and it should show in Saturday's contest. You also gotta love the Jersey getting mad love after outplaying the Celtics for 3 quarters in Friday's game. This game should attract decent attention with the thought of "Hey, didn't the Pacers just blew out the Pistons the other night? and the Nets just played the Celts well? I think I'd hammer this line with the Nets getting 7.5 bonus points! Looks like a gift" Or something like that. LOL.
Miami Heat +2
Like I said, the Bulls are back to earth now after making some noise with a crazy small run they did on the road. Bulls are bad playing back to back games going only 3-8 ATS. They should also feel bad about themselves with the game on their hand and letting it slip away early in the 4th quarter then ended up losing by double digits. We also see all Bulls starter playing 35+ minutes with Rose (played 43 minutes against the 76ers the other day), Hinrich and Miller logging 40 minutes themselves. They are also playing the 3rd game in 4 nights against a rested Heat (although only 10-10-2 ATS on games after a day of rest). Heat has yet to go on a 5 game losing streak with a healthy Wade (the last time they went more than 5 games was 2 season ago when Wade was out and the Heat are nothing but a bottom feeder team). Look for the Heat team to catch this fatigued young Bulls tomorrow and make it a close game, perhaps this game ends up with a bucket or two.
Minnesota Timberwolves +3.5
Grizzlies are struggling and the Wolves looks like they finally found a way to make Love (pun not intended) and AJ work. Both teams playing back to back and the ATS record aren't good for a team to get an edge with it. Minny with a slight ATS advantage going 14-11 to the Grizz' so-so 12-12 on the road. Straight up home-road record is about even with both teams only getting 8 a piece. I was looking at the matchup and IMO it's about even. Zach gets AJ, Gasol gets Love, Mayo and Conley matches up to Brewer, Flynn/Sessions. Gay gets Gomez or Hollins. Anyway, Red flag here is that the Grizz has won 3 of 3 against Minnesota this season. I'm banking on the Wolves to keep use that 3 game momentum to push the Grizz and stop a season series sweep in their home court.
Houston Rockets -5.5
Do I just hate betting on the 76ers or what? LOL. Houston is a team that beats all the other below .500 teams and creeps up the playoff ladder doing it quietly under the radar. Both teams playing back to back games as well with the 76ers doing well ATS-wise going 7-3 to the Houston's 4-8 ATS card. Philly also looks better on paper with a 14-10 ATS card on the road to the Rockets' 12-12 at home. Not to mention that they are playing better without AI. Anyway, the 76ers haven't had a 4 game winning streak this season and I'm banking on it for them to not even get one. The last time they did such feat is when they squeaked a 4th quarter rush against the Lakers and win by a point last 3/7/09.
Milwaukee Bucks -6.5
After blowing a Detroit team the Pacers travels the next day and is now a 6.5 road favorite. Anyway, stat tells us to take the Bucks. 14-8 ATS at home and 8-3 on back to back games. Pacers are only 11-14 on the road and 7-7 playing back to back. The last time both teams met, Bucks are listed as a point dog and fielded Michael Redd with the Pacers missing Danny Granger. The game ended with the Bucks winning by 3 on a strong 2nd half. Bucks is definitely a much better team now with Redd out of the lineup and everyone in the mix contributing. Before playing this game, I suggest take a close look on both teams' injury report.
Oklahoma City Thunder -4
This gives me the very same feel with the Suns@Kings game. Wouldn't want to make the same mistake twice, would I?
San Antonio Spurs -3
Clippers playing the first game back after a long road trip and with a new coach. Definitely a good fade material here. The only thing that bothers me is that that line is pretty weird. I was hoping somewhere from 4 to 5. Then again, the Spurs are on a sour 3 game ATS losing streak and has only covered 3 of their last 10 games.
