I will personally pay money to see this Boston team beat anybody by 5pts and on the road at that.. This Boston team looks old and tired to me. They look like the Boston team before it acquired KG and Allen. KG is not right and Allen has turned into a defensive specialist that can't stick the J like he use to. The only player on this team that is a threat has been Paul Pierce. The point guard Rondo is a good ball player, but he is not a threat to get clutch baskets or tough points. This is team is very similar to the pre 2008 Celtics... Just a little better defense and a better points guard. Any of you C's fans out their thinks this team is just holding back and waiting for the playoffs.... Think again! Defense might win Championships, but you also have to put the little round ball in the hoop a little to win.

#3SaffaCappa, the whole world is on Boston as evidenced by williams22 best bet thread. Washington is not good we can all agree with that, but when is the last time Boston beat anybody by more than 5pts? I haven't looked yet and can't remember. It's worth a 2 units play to take Washington here imo. Best of Luck!!Comment -

#17I agree with Lyon that Boston has lost the scoring touch. But Washington just is pretty bad these days, the only threat is Caron Butler/Antiwan Jamison and they arent exactly playing spectacular. In addition, Boston bench is alot better then Washington. Your right in saying 5 points is alot to cover for Boston, but I just cant see Washington scoring more then Boston... Ive already put my bet down on Boston -5 but BOL.

#18They covered in orlando on thursday and were pretty close to a cover yesterday and the atlanta game wasnt that bad. I think Boston played solid yesterday until the final 6 minutes when they started chucking up bricks. They played with great intensity but people dont realize when you play teams like LA unless you win no one notices.Comment -

It's pretty much a dog day for me so far.

You both bring up valid arguments. I am starting to doubt this idea all together. I usually don't play shit teams like Washington anyhow and when I do I usually wish I hadn't.. Maybe the books just get drilled here. Like you told me awhile back LB.. The books have had Washington overrated all year in their pricing. I think you two probably have saved me $200 dollars here. Thanks. I will not play Boston though. No way!Comment -

#24Ok I'm struggling to understand yet again. The books are begging us to take Boston -5 because ALL the money is on them???????????
How does that make any sense? What if Boston win by 6......or 46? Surely it can only make sense that they want Boston money because there is more on the Wizards???? The only way the books could put themselves at that much risk is if the outcome of the game was predetermined. I really want to understand. Can anybody help?Comment -

#25if you knew as much as you thought you know you would know that Ray Allen is wearing down. He is 34 and does not shoot the way he use too. I am not saying he is a scrub or a D-leaguer. I am just saying I have never watched him miss so many good looks at 3 pointers. Some of those misses have been pretty well off the mark for a sharp shooter. His 3pt numbers are down this year and they are even worse over his last 10-15 games from a statistical viewpoint. Again, I am not saying this guy is garbage, but their are many players in the NBA that shoot better than him this year, but he has turned in to one hell of a defender.Comment -

I was laughing because that's not who he use to be in his hay day. At one time he was as good as it gets and always has had the best looking jumper imo. I never thought about his defense in his prime. I am sure he was decent when he wanted to be on defense, but that's no what was highlighted. Sorry, I took a semi shot at your favorite player. Admit it he is 34 yrs old and has lost a step. Nothing new, most players are not playing their bets ball in their mid 30's.Comment -

#33well the line opened at 5.5 and dropped to 5 which means the money is on washington, i believe your stats so i guess this is a opposite line movement which is always fishy, i would take wash or stay away. the books know the money is on boston and the more they lower the spread the more will take boston, they must know something, take washington or no play!Comment -
