5/1/10:
I think as of now I am going to pass on the only NBA game today (Celtics @ Cavs). Lebron's elbow scares me. If he is really hurt 7.5 points is way too steep, but at the same time if he is just fine 7.5 sounds about right. I am not sure, and unless I can see he is firing away in shoot around I am going to stay away. I am hitting at too high of a clip in this years playoffs to risk units on a risky play like this.

No play tonight. -7.5 is too high, the books know people will be on the Cavs. Celtics more than likely will lose, but I am not sure if they can keep it close. If I had to play it would be the Cavs giving the points, but I was thinking it would be more like 4.5-5.5. Stay away and live to fight another day. Plenty of NBA left to make money on this year.

I appreciate it magic8ball. I am glad you are making money with me. I have been doing well in the playoffs this year, with the exception of the Spurs in the Suns series. I didn't realize the Spurs would just roll over and die. On average I hit between 56-59% on an NBA season. I am fairly new to this forum as well. I do this thread for a small group of friends who follow my picks, and have never tried to make outlandish statements to the board to try an attract attention to my threads. Maybe that is why I don't get more traffic. I try to let my picks and record speak for itself. I don't beg for points or have a special e-mail only club. That would defeat the purpose of why I started to post my picks here, so I didn't have to e-mail my picks to friends who wanted them. They can just check the thread.

Glad to see you are on board, hopefully we can close this basketball season out on a positive note with a few more units in the bank.

This would normally be a no play again for me tonight, but since I have a lean I am going to go with it. I hate it when the playoffs stall like this, it makes me antsy. The sims I use for advice are playing this one 50-50, so no help there. Two of the refs are home bias and one is fairly neutral, so advantage Celts. There is a chance that LeBron hears all of the criticism and comes out guns blazing putting the Cavs on his back. But I think there is something wrong here. Whether it’s the elbow injury or the Cavs just not getting up for their coach, something just seems off with Cleveland. Add the Celtics having the series momentum, being at home feeding off of the home crowd, and needing to win it tonight because no one likes having to go on the road for a game seven in the NBA, I am going with the Celts.

That being said I still don't see where they will find their answer to the Lakers being just flat out bigger and stronger. Lakers to keep it close, if not win outright.

Hey Q, just a fyi, other than pau/amare, the suns are actually as tall or taller in all other starter positions and backups. That said, you are deff due for a win.

Magic8ball, the Suns might be as tall but they don't play big. They don't bang like the Lakers can, when they come to play. Which they didn't last night. That is the Laker's down side, they can just disappear for a game or two. Moving on to tonight, I see huge value on the Magic money line. Call me crazy, but they are a +305 on the ML. Any shooting team like the magic can get hot, and being cold the last 3 games they are due. They also have the potential to give up and get blown out. So here is what I am playing.
5/24/10:
Magic money line - 1 unit to win 3.05 (+305)
Celtics -7
Only way I can lose both units is if the Celtics win a close one. I don't see that happening. Magic shoot lights out, or get run out of the building giving up half way through.
