Looking at the line movement and the percentages right now you would think Cleveland is the play, but I am not about to lay -10 without thinking it out first. Cleveland is coming home off a road trip and has been rested for 2 days. Laying -10, thats a lot of chalk and I gotta feel Toronto loses by no more than 7 but several factors indicate Cleveland may wipe the floor with them. Toronto has been playin much better ball as of late (7-3 in last 10) but if you look at those 10 games they have one impressive road win over Orlando and a home win vs Dallas, all the rest are games they should of won. I think Calderon/Jack are good match ups for West/Williams. Anthony Parker is a former Raptor and often times guys light up their former teams so that is a factor that may help Cleveland cover. Another thing is Cleveland did lose to Toronto earlier this year on a back to back and may look to avenge that loss, especially with Boston in the shape they are in Cleveland has a chance to gain some ground on them for the #1 seed in the playoffs. Cleveland has a 2.5 game lead on them for 1st at the moment hanks to Dallas last night. Another factor in this game is this is a potential first round match up in the playoffs as Toronto is in a tight race for the last few spots in the eastern conference. All this being said I still have no lean and am interested to hear the thoughts of the rest of the forum.

#4CLE laying DD's has been suicide this year.... the 08/09 season is long gone sports fans! The days of crushing opponents by 16+ are long gone.... CLE seems to be playing down to their opponents this year so far.
All I know is if I'm on CLE, be on the other side... I think i'm 1 - 5 this year when betting on them, and I won't even get started how they have fuct my last 4 parlays single handedly (well, by choosing them as my play I have screwed myself).Comment -

#5Kid, you know I'm a huge Cavs fan, but I don't think I can take the Cavs tonight. The Cavs are coming off a rough road trip which will certainly be a factor. Also, The Lakers are coming into town on Thursday and you have to think that the Cavs are a little more worried about that game than the Raptors tonight.Comment -

I just might put a small play on it for shits and giggles though. Any team can win at any time....except for the Nets of course.

#18I know I'm 3-2 on Cavs games in the picks for the NBA Best Bets thread. I couldn't tell you for sure outside of that, but I would venture an honest guess of about 60-65%.Originally posted by KiDBaZkiTYou guys are right I think Toronto was better without Calderone. Williams, how many times have you lost betting on the Cavs this year? And be honest. I am not talkin shit or tryin to be an ass I am genuinely curious.
As far as this game goes a few things are driving my decision:
1. The Cavs offense has looked horrible recently. Mo Williams is in a shooting slump and it carries over to how he runs the team. Without a second player trying to create his own offense, the Cavs become stagnant.
2. Jamario Moon being out hurts more than anyone realizes. Before his injury he was becoming a vital role in the Cavs 2nd unit as he is perhaps their best perimeter defender. He is also a second finisher on fast breaks.
3. I expected to see a pissed off Lebron against the Clippers after watching Sundiata Gaines steal a great comeback from him in Utah. He didn't respond. He did his usual coast until the 4th quarter, then turn it on. Lebron, more so than ever before, has been picking and choosing his spots to go all-out. You can be damned sure Thursday will be one of those spots, tonight I'm not so sure about.
4. As I already mentioned above, the Cavs are coming home from a rough west coast trip which tends to be a spot for a letdown. Add in the fact that they have the Lakers on Thursday and it makes me think we won't see the Cavs best effort tonight.
5. Finally, the Raptors strength is the Cavs biggest weakness, stretch forwards. Varejao has been incredible this year, but guarding a guy with 20-foot range is easily his greatest weakness. Bosh and Bargnani will cause trouble for the Cavs and I think a lot of this game will depend on how well those 2 guys do with their open 18-footers.Comment -

#20In other news, Lebron and Jim Brown had a meeting before the game tonight and did some photo-ops. Brown will be sitting courtside tonight, I wonder if that will be enough to get Lebron motivated early tonight instead of waiting for the 4th?Comment -

#24I just found out that Cleveland did NOT take a red-eye home from LA on Saturday night but instead stayed over and left on Sunday. They practiced yesterday in Cleveland. This should all contribute to their being less of a let-down from the road trip.Comment -

I disagree. I know Jose's defense is weak, but he makes the team better in other areas. He is solid on pick and rolls and offense runs smoother with him. And he has been playing very well coming off the injury.
As for the game tonight, very hard to decide. Raptors have been playing well lately, but they are horrible on the road. If Cavs make a big run, they will fold. so 10 is a tricky #. But like some of you pointed out, bosh and bargnan will cause match up problems for Cavs.Comment -

#26Cavs and Under is my play tonight.Raptors will be out of the game by half time.King James. And Mo will light it up tonight.Bosh will be no factor with Shaq only needing 2 points to be only the 5th player in NBA history to score 28,000 points. My guess is he'll get them with a dunk on Bosh........! History for Shaq and King James with 34 pts and Mo with 24 ,I smell blow out.Raptors held under 90. Cavs and the Under.Comment -
