Key players being out doesn't mean the team is stronger. It does, however mean that the Lakers will be playing a different game than they normally would.

When starting players are out in the NBA, all that it means is that someone else is going to take the shots.

Exactly. It's not like the Lakers are just giving up 45pts by not having Bynum/Bryant in the game...

The Lakers are deep, and they have the best starting lineup in the NBA.

Truthfully when Kobe plays, he just takes shots from Odom/Artest/Gasol. All players who were once the go to guys on other teams.

Watch how the Lakers dont ever struggle without Kobe, and how balanced the shot selection is.

They need him for the playoffs, but regular season they are in many ways better to me.

Matter what book they bet at.

Most books in Vegas dont take more than 5K, but there are others that take any bet; Hilton, and The M. There are more, but the others escape me.
