Hedgejob, trust me when I say i'm far from faint hearted. it's not uncommon for me to have 3-5k out on plays at one time, right now i got 3100 floating around out there. But the one thing I cant do is play unders. when you bet an under, your bet can be easily lost way too early, at least when you bet an over you always have a chance (unless it's a blowout). I can't tell you how many OT's I've seen when i bet the over - but trust me, I only bet the over if I really like it. I rarely play totals, but when I do they are ONLY overs.

actually its more that unders can hit anytime, even if they score for the first 3 quarters, and cool off in the 4th, the under will still hit. whereas to get the over you need 4 whole quarters of good/decent scoring from both teams. or OT =p

not exactly sure but I'm pretty sure you guys are describing basketball and the riskiness of sports betting in general.. both of your arguments are legit and could be put towards spreads as well... thats why its gambling .. cuz either side can win

but when you bet the total on a nba game, it's much more fun - and more realistic - to hope that the "professional" athlete can hit the 2 point layup. anyways, it's a matter of opinion. i dont bet a ton of totals, but if i do, they are probably overs, and i personally hate hoping that the guy paid to play basketball doesnt have the skills to hit a jumpshot.

jumpshot miss are more forgiving to me but I absolutely hate when guys miss foul shots and dunks

i'm from boston, I love the C's, but damn guy, have you not been watching them lately? have you not seen what the hawks do to them? and a million more, "have you not seen"'s!!!!!!!

C's could win for you, but it's a bad play.

C's are old, tired, garnet is NOT 100%. he's not even 50%. they play like garbage 2h, if i were to put money on the 2h, i would take a young hawks team that LOVES to beat the C's.....and i did, i took ATL +2.

Sacramento looks good, but Utah at home is a tough game. Hard to say... I like LB's call but your calls with Sacremento havent had the best calls. May stay away from this one... but look good on the other games and thanks for all the picks. BTW, will be posting your stats end of week.
