whats up with these silly fines

i know its not bet related but i was just curious as to the logic behind the league and the team imposing fines on players/coaching staff that basically have no effect


the wizards fined the players 10,000 $ each for taking part in the arenas incident

10,000? really? this guy makes 50,000 a day and he's gonna give a phuck for 10 g?

I remember reading about phil jackson the other day, he didnt want to say anything about the refs cause he said he was gonna get fined again, like he really cares, his salary can feed the whole of africa for a year and he's talking like he's gonna miss the 20-30,000 fine they might give him

of course phil won that battle. by saying he didn't want to get fined was saying that the refs sucked and he can't get fined because he didn't actually say it. it's a power trip, and Jackson didn't give in and got his point across.

lol these guys dont make 50k a day, 50k a day = 1million a month. remember they also pay taxes and their agents.
