Hard to win in betting NBA
Out of all sports, NBA seems to be the hardest sport to bet on and win. When the Orlando Magic starts looking like stars, leading their division by having the best winning record, they lose 4 consecutive games to no namer teams such as the pacers, wizards and blank... It just doesn't make any logical sense. How could a team so powerful lose to no namer teams all of a sudden. Every observers out there, including myself, find researching and following stats do no benefits in making a betting decision when betting NBA games. In fact, Im starting to just give up on using logic and intuition to make my picks from now on and just solely rely on a flip of a coin. If heads show then pick the fav. and if tails show, then pick otherwise. That might get me more winnings. Anyways, one would never see the colts leading the division and then lose to teams like Washington, St. Louis, or any no namers. They'll at least beat these teams and not cover the spread. Im just venting because I've bet big ML on Orlando the last 3 games...Feel free to let me know how u feel about betting NBA games.

yeah betting ML faves in the NBA will get you nowhere. I'm starting to think if you bet dogs and dogs ML, you may win consistently. Basketball is a game of runs, the better team on paper doesnt always win the game, let alone cover the spread. i think imma lean more towards dogs. all my fave bets (Lakers, Magic and Suns) lost today too. oh, at least Atlanta covered.

basketball is very hard to cap, one thing I've seen that could prove consistent is simply betting dogs+points.

I've also seen betting totals is much easier than betting spreads

the reason is because theres 82 bball games for the season
playing 3 games a week, ur bound to have streaks both ways
nfl is once a week, major difference

I have more luck playing totals rather than spreads. Definitely a hard league to cap no doubt about it.

The Magic are a jumpshooting team who dont trust their big man, they hardly even pass the ball to him and when they do he's mostly 5-6 feet from the basket where he isnt all that good. Studying stats wont get you as far as knowing what a team has been doing at the moment. I see how teams have been playing their last couple games and go from there, the invention of the spread makes almost every line seen like a pick em, thats exactly what they want you to think at least. Its a grind, have to realize if you end up say 60-40 ATS after a couple months, thats a good bet record, especially if youre betting decent coin.

harder this year than any other I can remember for quite some time...why i'm not sure...but there is a real lack of consistency in results making capping like a game of darts...on a roll of late but got slaughtered for most of the early part of the season

Even betting totals has been tricky this season... how many times have we seen offensive teams go for half a q without scoring
