DEN vs. POR -Best prop bet tonight?
I see three or four really good prop bets on Bodog.com right now for the Blazers-Nuggets game tonight:

I want your guys' opinions on which is the safest or strongest bet tonight and how much you would wager:

    Prop #1:
Carmelo Anthony total points - Over or Under 30

Prop #2: Ty Lawson total points + assists - Over or Under 16.5

Prop #3: J.R. Smith - Over or Under 16 points

    Prop #4
: Juwan Howard Total points + Rebounds - Over or Under 18

What do yo guys think? I am leaning towards OVER on Juwan Howard points + rebounds bet and the OVER on Ty Lawson points + assists bet.

IMO: Juwan Howard is the only big man Portland has and has gotten a double-double his last two games (both starts); he should definitely get points + rebounds = OVER 16.

There's no reason to make any of these bets when there are (were) much better plays on the board today.

I am talking about making bets now. I am 2-1 already today and the O/U and the spread are too sharp for the actual game. Of course I'd rather play props.

I am looking for opinions on these props (people who really know sports should have no problem with these)

Seems like only the "posers" would avoid a question like this.

Took Nene over 9 rebounds, think he gets double digits pretty easily

When the Cavs won by 18 is going to start assessing who is for real and who is a "poser"?

You are also leaning over for the Ty Lawson prop, yet Billups is playing? Give me a break. Either bet the full game, or just be content to take your profit and be done for the night.

I'm not hating at all, just stating that I find it ironic that you call someone a "poser" because they don't like these prop bets. I'm far from a poser and know the NBA very well.

The Ty Lawson bet probably isn't on the board anymore. The Melo and Smith lines are pretty sharp as far as I'm concerned. Smith's scoring completely relies on how hot is from 3, which is pretty unpredictable.

Finally, I wouldn't touch the Howard prop as I feel the over will come down to how make cheap putbacks he gets. I rather bet on the whole game rather than bet on chance outcomes like this. Take Denver -2 and be happy.

Whatever dude....I took Juwan Howard OVER on points + rebounds = 18 for $50. Don't be surprised to see Melo hit 36-40 tonight either.

I wouldn't be surprised either, but it's not worth betting on.
