It looks that way at first glance, being on Christmas on the big stage, I wouldnt be surprised if its a more offensive game and less defense. I see more possessions than usual in this one.

The Heat played in Utah Wednesday night, and the travel is sure to wear them down to some degree. And do they really have the scorers to keep up with the Knicks high-powered offense? I’m not so sure. The Knicks aren’t overly talented, but watching Lee, Gallinari, Chris Duhon and others, they do play with a ton of heart and their last five opponents have been held under 100 points.

It's the first game of the day on Christmas and I'm sure some players are staying up a tad bit late tonight, so I don't think shot accuracy will be at its best considering the game starts @ 12PM!

Line opened up at 199 I believe and I was loving the Under when I first saw the total.. I see a 99-94 final score. I'm on the NY Knicks -2

And I'll admit, I'm nowheres near as solid on totals as I am on sides.. I only do good with totals for certain teams.. but if I had to pick, I'd take the under

Christmas games are usually more intense, with rival teams playing it as if they were championship games. = More defense.

im a Knicks fan(dont laugh lol) and the Knicks are known to start off slow in these matinee starts, just throwing that out there, havent capped the game yet, i'll probably take the knicks straight up at first glance, but have to look more in depth into it.

Knicks offense really isn't as high-powered as most people think, especially at home lately. I follow the Knicks every game and unders have been cashing like crazy, especially at home. 7 of Knicks last 8 have gone under.

Love the Under and Heat + points tomorrow.

Last 5 Heat/Knicks games all have gone Over.. home team also has won the last 5 meetings (Heat 3, Knicks 2) two trends that go against my bet of Under and Heat.. we'll see!

I just think Wade is going to put on a show.. playing at MSG on Xmas day..

umm Knicks won 6 straight at home, Heat are really just an average team. The general better see's Heat vs Knicks, they assume the Heat are superior.. not so much the case. Heat 14-12 this year just 5-4 on the road.

someone at the other forum mentioned how xmas day, teams don't score much... and lotta ppl actually like under for Knicks game tomorrow.... What scare me though last 5 knicks game against heat have gone over the total..... they were all at lease 210 points scored...... kind of scary to bet under even though I am leaning under.....

So what is your reasoning for taking the Heat + the points over the Knicks then? I can't criticize you because I've seen you around on some threads in the past and from what I've seen, you seem to win alot more then you lose. Just wondering what your analysis may be for taking the Heat over the Knicks.. Dwayne Wade may be the best player on the court, but the Knicks got the better stars overall as a team

No real reasoning, just been watching the Knicks all year and I think they have a let down tomorrow. It's been a while since hte Knicks played on Christmas, let alone played on national TV (i think they played on national TV once last year). Not that it makes that much of a differnece... but I'll take Wade on national TV @ MSG anyday.

My stronger play is the Under though.

The Knicks have one of the worst home defenses in the league allowing 103.3 points, and the Heat's road defense isn't much different it's at 102.1. They score fairly high, with the Knicks at 102.5 at home and the Heat at 101.8 on the road. So let's see, no defense at all and both teams score a ton of points. I'd stay far away from anything under 200.

I'm also staying away from the over because the Knicks have this tendency to depend on their 3s a lot, and either they make them and score a lot or they miss and miss and don't score a lot, you never know.
