I still can't believe last night!!!
I was looking at the spreads last night and I saw Portland +13...

I was like wtf? From what I've seen (I don't really check the standings) Portland seems to be the best team in the west outside of LA and the Spurs always start the season slow. Anyways, I thought the spread should've been +3 or +4 just cuz the Spurs were at home...

I only bet a hundred bucks because I didn't have time to research why the spread was so high, but my two questions are 1) what was the money line? and 2) am I the only one that sees the Spurs as severely overrated and Portland as underrated?

You clearly don't watch basketball much. Portland is destroyed with injuries right now and has never been a strong road team. Also, I'm not sure how you talk about the top teams in the West without mentioning Denver and Phoenix.

Yeah I'm getting that drift now. Gotta love the "Never bet on favorites" theory. Brilliant.

8.5 made more sense, but some people put a ton of money on SA and pounded them up to 12.5 or 13. I took Portland +13 before tip.

8.5 is reasonable, because SA is good at home, Portland was on a back to back (had just beaten Dallas on the road), and Portland has been missing a lot of people the last few weeks.

They have a really thin bench.
