How about you are allowed two 2-unit plays and one 3-unit play each week, maximum. Your other 4 picks for the week will be for 1-unit.

I think 3 unit plays skew things. Maybe just 1-2 best bets for 2 units each

I think it might be hard to keep track of and posters may do it more than once. I think it is easy enough to just give one play for one unit and a chalk limit of whatever. The Best bet thread uses -500

Exactly...

It would be great if this was (for the time being) restricted to the top NBA cappers that run threads or post and do writeups regularly...(houlihans, kidbazkit, shoebox, lakerboy, dexter, ragiche, darkenergy, suicidekings, joannapoker, phoenix, williams22, pimike, bustabook, dunchen, and a few others that I'm missing...no disrespect.)

I think the thread is much more useful if it involves consensus opinion of the experienced guys without the chatter of schmucks like myself. Otherwise the thread gets diluted and eventually carries no cred and loses the point.

Also, this would be less work for the grader (williams22 or possibly Mex) to update.

I'll offer small, regular point donations to the grader (Williams/Mex) for the effort.

I've set up the thread for tomorrow. I might change the rules in the future to allow a 2-unit bet once a week or something similar, but for now we will keep it simple.

NBA Best Bets - 12/19/09

I will grade all bets each night and keep records for everyone. Also, I will track each user's picks on a separate sheet so you can have it for your records if you so desire. Hopefully this is helpful to people.
