REMEMBER THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT AN OUTCOME OF A GAME BY PAYING ATTENTION TO IT.

Thought I would share it with you though it is one of the hardest to stick to.

Excellent approach....with the amount of time and energy that goes into capping the games, why use more of it trying to root your team on to victory. After placing your bets, just go and grab a bite to eat with the old lady and don't pay attention to anything sports related until later than night or even the next day. I have tried this approach, but I always find myself coming back to check scores periodically.
