I know home court advantage means a lot to both of these teams, but that really doesn't excuse the Lakers inability to punch through the Zone defense... Lopez/Amare are proving to be much more of a problem for the Lakers than anticipated, and I'm pretty sure it's all stemming from Bynum's knee injury. He's just too slow to do anything against the quicker Suns players, and with him ineffective, the Suns can hammer Gasol anytime he gets into the paint. Also, they appear to have gotten inside Odom's head.

The Lakers need two of their three big men to be playing effectively to beat the Suns, and it's not happening right now.

I wouldnt pound the Lakers for game 5 yet. Dont forget you can win a bet by betting the closing line. Also dont buy points. Thats foolish.

If you're going to pound the Lakers, now's the time to do it. It'll be a monstrous public play, which means the # will only go up. If the sharps back Phoenix, it might stay steady at best. I don't think you're going to get a better # than the opener.

If the lakers are gonna blow out the suns the # wont matter. Not smart to bet right now on either side. Wait and watch the line movement.

You think -7 is valuable enough to hit hard early? If anything, the Suns ML has the most value right at opening. Worst case scenario, the Lakers line moves to -8.5/-9 by tip, and you're still talking about a 3 possession game. You're gaining very little by hitting it early.

I'm just saying the line won't go down. It'll either be 7 or whatever and met with resistance by the sharps, or it'll go up if both the public and sharps pound it (which won't happen). There's almost zero chance it opens at 7 and ends up less than that.

But I do agree there's no real point in locking a number in early, because if LAL wins big, they're going to win VERY big. This is either going to be a 3-5 point LAL win or a DD victory.

NoC, I saw that you were taking the 1H tomorrow. Is this a lean or a play? And if it's a play, who are you taking? I am ready to put a big bet in on the 1H but to be frank, I don't want to do it if you're on the same side as me when you're on this cold streak. I know you'll bust out of it soon, but I don't want to have so much money in play if we're on the same side, until you do.

How do you know to spot a fix? Any examples from this season? I have always wondered.
