Bro I was watchin the game and the play just didn't make sense, I dunno I don't really care about the loss but it's just baffling to me, especially after Salmons nailed a go ahead three to force ot. I could understand if there was a 5-6 sec differential, but it was like between 2-4 and something, and every coach knows you just can't risk that, especially by the time the shot goes up, theres a risk it could hit the rim a few times, and thats a few seconds right there, then a T.O. is called. Your basically giving yourself like 2 secs to get off a decent shot even if you retrieve the rebound.

On the other hand, you foul, and it's likely he can miss 1 or even 2 fts.

in the nba you get the ball at halfcourt after your timeout so you really should be able to get up a decent shot with 1+ seconds left in the game. If you foul and they probably make both free throws, AT BEST YOU ARE TYING! Say your going to average 1/3 of your three pointers made, ok now you make the three pointer and go to OT, still you only have a 1/2 chance of winning. So going this way you win the game about 1/6 of the time. Not fouling it's harder to put the percentage on how often your going to get the rebound but im pretty sure you get a defensive rebound a pretty solid the majority of the time? Not sure what percentage though. But now that you have the ball and 1+ second left you probably have a 40%+ chance of winning the game. Of course I forgot to include they could still make the shot on there side, anyways i think you will win a slightly higher percentage of the time playing it like they played it.

Why they didn't try to foul after the missed shot idk, i didn't watch the game.

Same thoughts MT. I like butler to pull this one out but youre right Izzo gets the most out of his players. Butler is gonna come out swinging thought with the home field. What bothers me though is Butler has never had this attention before and now they are getting crazy attention from ESPN doing segments with the players. I still think butler is the play.
