Bro...there is something to prove, but more so, it's about fighting to stay out of the 8th seed in the west. Every time the Spurs step onto the court with the lakers, they know they're outmatched. Spurs are going to end up in the 8th seed this year it looks like.

And they do have something to prove. They need to prove to themselves that they can beat one of the worst teams in NBA history. They failed that test, and will ultimately fail to beat any 1st round opponent in the playoffs.
