Love the games on Friday night Dec 11, 2009.....absolutely love them.....2 easy $ games.....
1) Bobcats +8 vs. Spurs: This has defense written all over this game. Bobcats defend well both at home and on road and have won vs. many top teams but only at home. Their Spur's last 8 games at home vs. teams who allow less than 90 point or less a game have covered 0 for 8......means the spurs clearly shoot worse and score less giving a home loss on the spread. The Bobcats have won their last 2 at home and go into San Antonio after winning by 10+ and with that combination they are 6-1 ATS in their next game on road as 5-9 point underdogs.
2) Knicks vs. Hornets -7 : Hornets have covered 1 out of their last 5 games and have been barely able to pull out a win vs. sub .400 teams on road and haven't really shown they can win by more than 3 baskets at home. However, there is one difference in this game that is a HUGE factor. In all the games the hornets have played recently that they haven't covered they have won the games. Each of the last 3 games they did not cover went under the posted Over/Under because scoring in the 2nd half decreased tremendously. This game this won't happen. The Knicks make teams keep starters in bc of their explosive 3 point shooting and fast tempo playing. 6 out of the last 9 road games in which the O/U was at 205 or more on the road for the Knicks they have covered. In the 3 they did not cover it was against teams that had won 2 or more consecutive games.. Perfect spot for the hornets. I like Hornets -7 here and may put them in a teaser with the Bobcats at +8 vs. Spurs.
