Backdoor cover is always an issue with the Lakers, since the bench plays so many minutes in the 4th.

Solid Pick. I am leaning this way for all the same reasons... If I may let me offer some solid advice that has been working for me. If your book offers quarter lines take Minnesota for the 4th quarter prior to the game. It is even more effective if you wait for the halftime line when you see that the Lakers are blowing them out. This strategey has been serving me well for quite some time with the Lakers. I make this play whenever the Lakers are at home as double digit favorites playing a vastly inferior opponent such a Minnestota tonite. Trust me... You will be scared to take it because the 4th quarter will be a lower + pts than any other quarter for obvious reasons. With the line being around +15 1/2 right now I am sure my book will probably offer + 2 1/2 or +3 for the 4th quarter. Usually, I don't need the point ever because the other team usually wins the 4th quarter or plays even. Don't trust me... Do your research. Look at all Lakers home games this year playing and inferior opponent that they were crushing and then look at the box score for the 4th quarter. As always GL!

I think Lakers 1st half would be the strongest bet in this one. Lakerw sill pull their starters late in the 3rd and coast the rest of the way.

Great points here, the only thing that worries me is the T-Wolves recent form. If you've seen their last few games, they've looked horrible trying to close out the fourth quarter. Might still be enough against the Lakers bench, but don't forget just how bad this team is on the road.

I still think 15 1/2 is reasonable since lakers have won all games by double digit other then the heat games.

Thanks for the kind words intangible and 2dabank. Razz_Donkey you are making a very good point about Minnesota. Your right they are a bad team and just pathetic on the road. That being said I was giving a general strategy for all Laker home games were they are a double digit favorite playing a vastly inferior team. I don't pick and choose my spots with this strategy. I just do it regrdless of my opinion on the other team. If I was scared of this strategy I couldn't have played it when the Nets came to town. The nets were losing by like 30 something pts at one time, but won the 4th quarter by 6 pts or so I believe. Either way it cashed. One thing to keep in mind Razz is the Lakers go on the road tommorow nite to challenge the Jazz and if this game goes according to plan the Lakers will have this wrapped way before the 4th quarter looking ahead to there road game tommorow nite and will be playing there bench most of the 4th quarter. I know the Lakers very well and sometimes I hit all 4 quarters in the game. I usually don't play all 4 quarters, but when I do I hit them all on occasion. Last time I played all 4 quarters was when the Knicks came to town and won them all. Tonite I am just playing Minnetota + 2 1/2 for the 4th quarter. I am also leaning on taking the Lakers -8 1/2 for the 1st half and -4 for the 3rd quarter. The second quarter and most times the 3rd quarter is when the Lakers make there statements.

Play: So far Minnesota + 2 1/2 4th quarter. As always this is gambling and it very well could lose so tail at your own risk. Personally, I would rather people reading this to dig into what I am saying and test it first rather than tail blindly. Make your own conclussions. This has been a gravy train for me this year so far. I know alot of people might play this and it very well could lose, but I am playing for win% here not just tonite. If it loses I will most certainly play it again when the opportunity arises. I will keep doing this until the trend is no longer working.

                                    GL fellas!

                                      minnesota +15.5

Personally, I would rather people reading this to dig into what I am saying and test it first rather than tail blindly. Make your own conclussions. This has been a gravy train for me this year so far. I know alot of people might play this and it very well could lose, but I am playing for win% here not just tonite. If it loses I will most certainly play it again when the opportunity arises. I will keep doing this until the trend is no longer working.

                                            GL fellas!
Great points and advice once again, its post like these that really help out the beginners and experts here. You've uncovered an interesting angle, and I'm gonna tail you with it. Lets hope the T-Wolves can close out the last quarter better than what they've been doing in the past 2-3 games. I'll shoot you some points as well, great contributions.

Thanks Razz for the points. Feel stupid if I contribute to you losing your money. Again, this is gambling anything is possible. If you are tailing here don't do so unless you are making the commitment to do so every time this opportunity arises. It is possible it loses, but I like your chances staying the course over a full season. I can't wait to LA gets that D.J. Mebenga back healthy playing the 4th quarter and blow out games. Talk about a weak player.

                                              Criteria for a play.

Lakers at home as double digit favorites playing a vastly inferior opponent. Take opponent plus the pts for the 4th quarter.

Best of Luck to all your plays.

Certainly lyon, I'm tailing you because I think you've made valid points and want to show some support. Its gambling, so I'm well aware that the play might lose, I never hold it against someone. All thats important is that you showed solid reasoning for your play, and I'm going to get on board with it. Good luck to us, I'll be paying attention to any other gems like this from you in the future.

They will get their act together very soon (maybe tonight) once Pop figures out what he wants with lineup combos, etc. I see a double digit win tonight....
