I've just recently gotten into NBA handicapping. I've been a huge fan of basketball my whole life and want to see if all the useless knowledge I have can pay off financially. I started out with a bankroll of $11.66 on 12/01/09 (I know that's extremely risky) and will post my selections each day along with match-up thoughts and ideas. I will base my decisions off statistics, past and present trends, my knowledge of basketball, and a little intuition. THIS THREAD IS BY NO MEANS ATTEMPTING TO INFLUENCE YOUR NBA DAILY PICKS. It is merely to track my progress and tweak my strategy accordingly.

Note: As of right now, I'm trying to make super safe bets on account my bankroll is so low, as/if my bankroll increases I will increase the variety of my selections.

Lakers have a great record vs the Jazz at home. I really feel first half bets with the Lakers are the safest b/c their bench is extremely weak these days and aren't very good at finishing games.

Chicago played their asses off yesterday against NJN, plus they have to travel. ATL is extremely strong at home, but I don't know about the -10.5 so I bought 3 points.
