    Boston getting 2 @ San Antonio 12/3
San Antonio is on a 5 game winning streak, getting fat mostly off of playing mediocre teams at home. They're last lost at home was Nov 19th vs Utah. This is the first of back to back road games for the Celtics who are 7-1 away from home. Last year both teams won and covered on each other's home floor.

You gotta like the Celtics anytime they are getting points. I applied this last year to the Lakers ML and it payed off big time with wins over Bos & Cle away from home.

It looks good. The SPurs have to be favored cause they are at home.

This is a tough game anyway you look at it. I remember Ginobli being the MAIN reason Spurs even won in Boston. Both teams on a 5 game winning streak. Can Rondo slow down Parker? Does Perkins, Garnett, Wallace outplay Duncan, McDyss, Bonner? I also like Boston here, but its still a tough call.

I just realized Ginobli played the last game. I wasn't aware of that. He only played 17 minutes so I don't know how healthy he is and what kind of contribution hes going to make here. Making this damn game even more tough to call.

I guess both teams have been putting up large numbers lately, but it was against some weak ass teams that play no defense at all. The Spurs defense hasn't been what it use to be, but both teams are still defensive minded teams so I couldn't bet the Over comfortably. Gl tho.

I think i'd have to take the spurs on this game...yes both teams are playing well, but i just see boston choking up first. They've played some solid games recently, but I don't think any other team in the NBA has "chess match" experience like the spurs. If it really comes down to a two man show I see parker/duncan taking out rondo/(pierce,garnett,perkins) either of the 3. If the spurs push the pace of the game, then i think they'll pull off a win. For some reason when i watch the celtics play, everything feels like its in slow motion...but idk good luck on whatever you choose!

I'm not comfortable picking a winner here. I think Over is the play. Boston was passing the ball around beautifully against a very good Charlotte team, and had 62 at half against the best defensive scoring PPG team in the league. I think Pierce has a big night. This San Antonio team isn't the defensive team we are accustomed to.

I'm a Boston fan, and never pick against them, I only hold off from betting them on games I don't like.

I like this game and am licking chops at getting the 2. How I will roll

                              - a bet on money line victory
                              - a bet on +2
                              -a bet on +4

and a multi-league tease with Big Green and the Bills.

Sounds like a band, eh ? Big Green and the Bills.

i hate starting threads, so here goes it!

tough lines tonight. some thoughts though....

                                celtics vs spurs

both teams will bring it! but who will 'brung' it more? personally i hate the spurs (who doesnt?) so my celtics pick here could be a little biased but i just think the core group of the C's are better than the spurs. altho one must question why did the books set this line to spurs -1.5? almost telling all the degenerates to take the celtics on this spot. hmmm. imo spurs -3 or -4 would have been a more 'natural' line on this game considering both squads are on a roll especially with spurs home-winning streaks lately and well-rested on this spot - normally the hometeam gets 3 pts.
i'll be a square here and go with my initial lean and yes, the public - celtics! only a small play coz imo, this smells of a trap. also, both teams have stunked on nat'l tv so needless to say, this should be a good game which could go either way! hopefully celtics way! :P

                                heat vs nuggets
no need to elaborate on their recent exploits as im sure these 2 teams are two of the most betted on teams. resilient heat vs home-beasts nuggets? ill take the nuggets here to win by dd pts. revenge game so a blowout is very possible and if ever this game goes away from the heat, i still see the nuggets not letting up for any backdoor cover. i say a 10 or more pts win by the nuggets here! the only way i see the heat covering or winning this game is if wade goes for 40+ pts. heat's last game - win against the blazers - i think was more on the blazers not showing up and beasley and richardson playing over their heads. i doubt these 2 role players show up on this game. nahh i dont think so. not in the mile high city! :P

                                rockets vs warriors
initial lean was the rockets but decided to stay away from this game. imo even if i choose the correct side, i think i'd just feel 'lucky' cashing it and not satisfied as a handicapper. weird as it may sound but that's how i feel about this game. LOL!
some thoughts though ~ rockets are good in b2b games. and if u check their minutes from last night, their starters did not play much either so i dont think they're tired. and clearly they are the better team here. but this depleted warriors team are just a different animal at home! one reason could be, they are just happy to be home!?! they've played more on the road (10) than home (7). also, that 1 point loss at the home opener might be enough motivation for this GSW to get a win against this overachieving rockets! no play for me but go warriors!

Celts play outstanding as underdogs (just ask Cleveland in the season opener), and I think it's only the 2nd game this season that they're not favored. I think the Celtic veterans/old guys get extremely motivated when they're underdogs, so look for them to play a great game. I'd personally buy it up to 2 pts, cuz the way I see it, either the Celtics will beat 'em up good or lose by a point or two. If I had to make an NBA bet tonight, it would be on the Houston Rockets ML, currently at -135. Good luck to all - I'll be watching college football tonight.

I know the celtics are good and all...but you gotta have big nuts to go against the spurs at home...the correct play here is to pass.. #1 rule is not to force bets and if you bet this game that is exactly what youre doing...if you win tonight you'll prolly get the big head and think you can pick em all, but all it really is , is that you got lucky.
