Most likely it will be Oden he will have time to learn the NBA system and how to play in it. Every championship with the exception of the Jordan years was won in the paint. He will be on a Blazers team that has decent talent around him and that he can grow as a great player. Durant will get to learn from Ray Allen and that will help, but I still think Oden. I would be glad if Durant is better though I love watching SF play a lot more than I like watching Centers play.

Depends on what you mean by better. Durant will undoubtedly score more, and will likely win more individual awards (scoring titles, MVP's etc.) but Oden will win more titles. That Portland team is absolutely loaded. First thing the Blazers need to do is get rid of Zach Randolph - preferably for a SF. With Oden and LaMarcus Aldridge up front, Brandon Roy at the 2/3, and a combination of Jarret Jack/Sergio Rodriguez at the point, Portland should win multiple championships.

Bottom line, I think they will both be great and probably among the 5 best players in the league in just a few years. Durant is every bit the talent of Kobe and Wade, and Oden will be a dominant center.

im really not impressed when i watch greg oden. his raw athleticism is clear, but something just isn't right when i watched him in the ncaa tourney this year. durant is the more 'talented' player, i need to see more of oden to really get a feel for what his game is like though.

Tevari, I am in total agreement with you on this one... Oden is a great player and defensive wise he will probably win multiple Defensive Player of the Year awards... However, if Durant can put on about 15-20 lbs of muscle he will be unstoppable... He seems like a twin of Lebron James to me... The problem with Lebron is that he has no inside game to speak of... If Durant can better his post up game and beef up a little bit he will be better than Lebron could ever think of being... I know that I'm off on a tangent here, but I have to say that I have been dissapointed with Lebron's play over the last couple of years... Here is a guy that everyone was comparing to MJ and Kobe... Hardly a comparison IMO... Every time I watch Lebron play, he is always settling for 17-20 ft jumpers and he still isn't that great of an outside shooter... His game going to the hoop was a lot better when he first came into the league... Anyways, Oden will be a force in Portland and that team should be a contender in a few years with the young talent that they have...

Both guys need more polishing offensively, but if I had to bet my life on one being successful, it would be Oden. He's as close to a guaranteed 20-10 as anybody for the next decade. But, on the other hand, it's not hard to see Durant becoming the best player in the league if he can become a good defensive player. His defense looked good in college because his arms were just longer than everybody else, but he has a lot to improve.

Oden will be the better pro in 5 years. This guy has all the tools and will only get better and better. He's a combination of Ewing and Duncan all rolled up into one.

I feel Durant will become the better player of the two, but Oden will probably make more of a impact with his team.

If Portland can't win anything with the lineup they are going to have with Oden, then nothing will help them.
