Betting the NBA is very tough. Play small until January. By that time all the revenge and sit plays will come into effect. I have had some bad beats and some lucky wins this season.

Well clearly the OP has a couple of points to learn, I've been hitting games like crazy since the beginning of the season, and tonight had some very easy plays:

      Mavs +4
      Philly +13

Essentially giving away money. If you are not an avid basketball follower, it is difficult to cap the NBA, IMO. every night where there is 4+ games on the schedule, there will be one huge mistake that is made in placement of the line. These were the two of the night. Yesterday the two plays were clearly OKC vs. a struggling Utah team that is simply not playing the same at home as they were last year. OKC is a rising team, that is consistently undervalued. These are the type of match-ups you must analyze in order to have a successful NBA season.

just play under totals when new jersey is playing dude this trend is winning this season. I just dont understand why the public is not playing heavy on favorites against the nets. Sooner or later vegas has got to start giving the nets more points when they keep this losing streak up.

It is their best chance to avoid breaking that 17 losses in a row NBA record. If they lose tonight, then it is 0-16 and next 2 are against Lakers and Dallas

Nets are not going to win on the road. Its going to be a home game against a team that doesn't take them seriously. A team ful of backups, and role players are not going to pull off a win on the road. Plus no team wants to lose to them, so they are getting opponents best effort, especially on the road.

The nba has changed alot this year... these young teams atlanta magic thunder bucks portland they can play i mean a few years ago the spurs lakers celtics mavs were rock solid teams. These teams are now much older and are past their prime they still can play but you just have to be careful. I would maybe focus on these young vs old teams and play the spread. 6+ and up on any young team that can play vs one of these older teams I would take any day. Example a few weeks ago boston was i think -7 to atlanta.... I think i put that game as -1 boston... atlanta won by 10 or something... Also keep betting on the nba but just bet maybe one game a day. I dont know how many games you bet on a night but if your betting on every game or most of them take a step back and just pick one or two games. This may not apply to you but just a thought...

If you focus on totals, you may have much better results.. Side bets are very unpredictable.

I agree that this season is lacking consistency as opposed to last season and the season before that.

I second this idea, a lot of teams are still experimenting with lineups, rotations and getting new players accustomed to the plays. Wait till trades go down and things get into a groove before making big plays. Its been a funny start to the NBA this season so far.
