one thing i'm gonna do...i listen to monty on sporting news radio on my way home and if i make a beer run or something. tonight i heard him say, to paraphrase:
"the warriors...man, they're horrible"
and
"tomorrow i'm gonna have spike lee on the show, pretty excited about that because we don't do a lot of entertainment on the show. and i'm gonna have to throw a jab at him about the knicks. they're horrible. they're here in l.a. tonight against the lakers, i can't wait to see how badly they get beat."
i think if you had the time to really track the media, not just espn, but whatever's out there on a national scope, learn the tendencies and fade it, and you'd do well. tonight's just a microcasm of the shit i've noticed i could have faded blindly and won.Comment -

Look out for the public piling on one side (Lakers -6 in this case), and the books not moving the line, rather making the other side more expensive. Knicks put up a good show in the first half. Combine that with the basic trend that in an even match the losing team at the half usually wins the game. In an uneven match, but unexpected fight; the dog usually covers the second half. Lakers only had enough momentum to stop the Knicks from winning.Comment -

Most of the time teams don't give much of a shit about their spread. You have to remember for the players it's just about winning a game. If you see a 30 pt lead and an enraged opposition why wouldn't you look for an inflated total and take the under?Originally posted by dwtsfan
