LT Profit: Bulls to choke Pistons
    Bulls -2 to Choke Pistons

    Game Time: 05/17/2007 08:05 PM -
    By: L.T. Profit Sports Group | who2beton.com

The Pistons have done their best to choke away this series, and we expect the noose to tighten even more tonight as the Bulls prevail at home, forcing a do-or-die Game 7.

The Pistons are on the verge of one of the biggest chokes in sports history, as they went from holding a commanding 3-0 series lead to having to win this contest on the road to avoid a seventh game.

We feel that the Bulls are up for this challenge again, so we now do indeed expect this series to go to a winner-take-all deciding game in Detroit. The Pistons have only themselves to blame for being in this predicament, as they have not come to play since being handed Game 3 by the Bulls in Chicago. While it was understandable that they would come out flat in Game 4 in the Windy City, Detroit’s abysmal performance at home with a chance to close out the series in Game 5 cannot be ignored. The Pistons’ normally suffocating defense did not guard anyone in that game, as the Bulls nearly reached 100 points in the first three quarters alone after shooting a scorching 72.2 percent from the floor in the first half.

We get the feeling that the Pistons felt they could flip the switch any time they wanted in this series, but they are finding out first hand that the Baby Bulls are an excellent young team that can no longer be underestimated. In fact, if the Bulls did not blow an 18-point third quarter lead in Game 3, they could very well be the ones looking to wrap up this series tonight. As it stands, that is still the only loss the Bulls have suffered to Detroit in four meetings in this building this year, with the three victories coming by an impressive average of +11.3 points per game. .

Chicago has been one of the best home teams in the NBA this year, sitting at 34-11 straight up and 26-18-1 against the spread here. That ATS success at home becomes virtually moot at this cheap price where a win should be good enough for a cover, and we look for the Bulls to reward their home fans again tonight with this crucial victory.

not only will the bulls not cover they will lose outright and by double digits. Please don't be fooled by the last couple wins , they were impressive to say the least but the train stops here in chicago. look for a detroit win and under the total tonight something to the tune of 93-78

I think the Pistons will finally wake up tonight. It looks like they took a little nap after winning the first 3 games.

You almost have to take the Pistons tonight as they have been playing bad and this is when the veteran leadership is going to show up.

Probably going Pistons ML myself despite all the people on them. Will say this - if Bulls win this one, I'm all over Chicago in Game 7 with the pts (assuming they get some in DET).

By the way, the only reason I am on the Bulls tonight is because I expected PJ Brown to go crazy.

                                UGH!

The beast awoke in the second half, as the Detroit defense hardly gave the Bulls any open looks. I guess the Pistons CAN flip the switch whenever they want. If the Detroit comes to play every night, the NBA Finals will hardly be a cakewalk for the Spurs, er, whoever wins the West.

You were right about PJ having a good game. Just wasn't enough.

                                    Razz,

                                    Apparently, Tchocky missed your sarcasm.

                                    ----------------------------------------------------------

                                    Tchocky,

Razz made his post at halftime, after PJ scored 20 points in the first half.

I just realized this, but honestly EVERY time I have read one of LT Profits Sports Post not the user LT Profit, but people like Willie Bee post about who to take and why in a game they have LOST. Is there anyone else noticing this or just me?
