Tip of the Day *MLK Day* is upon us, and my man from the Rampart Casino passed this on to me.... Take the UNDER in every game on the board in the NBA. The OVER has gone 7-6 once in ten years.

-Play on teams that have gotten blown out in their previous game.

-Play the UNDER when the matchup has two teams that scored an obscene amount of points in their previous game. One more secret...

-Play the 2nd half against teams that on on their last game of a 4-6 game road trip.

Of course not. The 2nd Half lines aren't generated until the completion of the 1stH. Although I keep my angle in mind as the 1stH is in play to see If I follow through.

Here's something to remember about betting 2nd Halves: Dont take into consideration how the teams are playing when betting 2nd Halves. Its all about Value.

Ex. Last night Clippers are getting +9, and are up by 9pts at the end of the 1stH. The second Half line comes out at Cavs -8.5. Which means that all the Cavs have to do is win by a point. So the books went from making the Cavs 9pt favs to 0.5pt favs. That is extreme value. I took the Cavs second Half, and was able to middle the game. I cashed a Clippers +9 ticket, and a Cavs -8.5 2ndH ticket. Value betting is key.

So I will be betting the Nuggs only if I'm getting value.

PS: Never bet full game favs in the second half if they are already covering the spread, by Halftime. Books will make them favs in the 2ndH, only making the full game spread even larger.

Ex. Team (A) is favored by -10 for the game. They are leading by 13 at Halftime, and really dominating the game. Books send out a 2ndH line of Team (A) favored by -3. That makes Team (A) -16 favs for the game. Its an obvious trap to a veteran bettor, but squares will run to the window thinking they are getting a deal on the game.

Well... I just got back from the Book, and I bet Georgetown -3 2ndH. They were down by 15, and it made them +12 Dogs. RIDICULOUS. That's high Value.

Now the Mich/ UCONN game had UCONN -3 for the second half. Down by 9 at half it made UCONN +6 Dogs for the game. Also it switched UCONN from being favored in the game to being DOGs. Extreme Value.

The best bets are when you can get a favorite that is a huge fav, lets say Double digits. They are down at halftime, and the book puts out a 2nd half that makes them a 0.5 favs. Astronomical Value.

But remember Value doesn't = Easy wins. Its just a tried and true method for a high winning %.

Houlihans, could you explain your angles on why Indy is game of the week? Does it have anything to do with them getting blown out last nite and Orlando first home game after a long road trip?? I agree with Indy being the play, but I am hesitant knowing that Orlando has the revenge angle with Indy from their previos loss in Indy. I also think we can both agree if Orlando puts it together tonite +11.5 will look very small.. Thanks in advance!

My plays are always in the range of 110-550. I put $100 on my ML plays no matter, b/c I only play ML dogs. Also I dont want to invest to much on straight up winners. If I had grabbed the +4 it would have been a $330 play.

All other plays for today are for $110.

Love my plays even more now. Heat 1H is a good play, but I like the fact they just have to win the game with the short spread.

Toronto is a great 1stH bet tomorrow. They will want to jump on the Bucks afst after losing to them yesterday.

I did the same thing with NYK, after they had a home&home with Detroit. Winner.
