    Denver/Miami
    Denver Nuggets vs. Miami Heat

This line almost seems almost too good to be true as I looked to see if there were any majors injuries or something else to make this strange line. Nothing of the such surfaced so I took a closer look. Apparently the odds makers feel the surprising 4-1 Heat can put up a fight against the 5-0 Nuggets. The Heat have won 4 games this season against the bottom dwellers of the East, and their one loss was to the only decent team they have played this year, the Suns. On the other hand the Nuggets are 5-0 and covering the spread like crazy on the road. Some interesting facts in this match up are that the Nuggets are 6-1 against the spread when playing the Heat and the Nuggets have the number 1 scoring offense in the league, so this 1 point spread doesn't scare me at all in this situation. Also, Miami is 0-4 vs. the Nuggets as of late. Look for the Nuggets to stump this spread easily.

Under doesn't look too bad either, two really good defenses going tonight.

Be careful with that line - it's fishy.

Miami hasn't played the strongest teams this season, but Denver had Memphis (1-4), Indiana (1-3), and New Jersey (0-5) in their last three games. Not exactly a tough run...

Who and who in the Heat lineup will beat the Nuggets? D-Wade? He can't do it alone. The Nuggets will win this one. It doesn't matter what the books are doing to the line.

Sure they might but might not. Why are they not favored then? Miami is a good play here. You can argue Denver is as well. It should be a good game.

If they're not favored it doesn't mean they won't win. Do all favored teams win? No. It should be an interesting game anyways. It's the only NBA game worth watching tonight.

But the low spread does mean that either (a) The books are of two minds on who they think will win, not wanting to give up too many points to either side, (b) They think Miami will win and they're banking on how the Nuggets have become public darlings so far this year, hoping people will lay their money on Denver and think they're getting a great deal on the -1 for an undefeated team, or (c) They think Denver will win, but are not confident enough in the pick to give them more than 1 point on the spread.

To me, (a) & (b) are the most likely options so I feel pretty good about my chances with Miami.
