Take Timberwolves vs Grizzlies
Game Time: 4/18/2007 8:00:00 PM -
By: Al McMordie
The Grizzlies and Timberwolves close out their seasons tonight at the Target Center in Minneapolis. Back the home bunch in this one.
Our Wednesday NBA selection is on the Minnesota Timberwolves over the Memphis Grizzlies, as Minnesota falls into a system that is 59-28-2 against the spread since 1990.
We used this system last night for our free play on Washington over Orlando, and the Wizards fell short, losing by six as a 3½-point home dog. That was this system's first loss this season in six games, so let's give it another shot tonight. What we want to do is play on any home team in the season's final three games if the team is off a straight-up loss of 15 or more points. And if its foe is off back-to-back wins, then our 59-28 stat moves to 25-9-1 against the spread.
Minnesota dropped its sixth straight game Monday night, 122-107, at Denver, while Memphis is off back-to-back upset wins over the Nuggets and Spurs. But Denver and San Antonio rested key players, so those two victories are flawed. Look for Minny to end its season on a high note tonight.
