I've just recently joined these boards as of yesterday and after reading a lot of posts and plotting my opinions around I've noticed a couple things. It seems like a lot of people here love to bet singles and what not, not to much parlay or teaser talk? I'm not a guy who likes playing more then 2 team parlays, however I love teasers. I think sometimes you can really make some money off teasers. This college football season there was a point were I just killed the books with teasers. My specialty bet was a 3 team NFL/NCAA 10 pt teaser. Some games we're just to easy to get giving that many pts. Before tonight however I've had a hard time finding that real groove with the 2 team 5pt teasers in basketball. So tonight I decided to do a 3 team 8 pt teaser; raptors +12.5, Suns +2, and Golden State +16. Basically I did not even have to hold my breath once and it was a beautiful thing. I track so many lines and such that I see a lot of the time the bookmaker is right on the money with his spread. For this reason I love teasers because they give you that extra edge in case it comes down to like a bullshit free throw as it seems to do so many times. So I was wondering does anyone else play more teasers then singles as I do, are there any teaser specialists here? So if you guys could, give me your feedback on teasers vs single bets.

#2I'm not a big teaser fan, unless you cross some key numbers in football.
Basically, I think if a bet is good enough for a teaser, it should be good enough for a straight bet.
In the long run you're leaving money on the table if you're playing a lot of teasers. Parlays are a much more interesting option if your winning percentage is high enough.

#3I play teasers and parlays both
although my main bets are straight
I am very good on the teaser bets I normally play tesers on the teams that are within the range of the teaser points such as two team BB up to -5.5 points, I normally try to leave myself needing the game outright if anything. If there is a team whose spread still exceeds my tease line still leaving them a favorite of 1 or more points then thay get ruled out. I would rather just play them straight.
As for parlays I play them for mostly 2-4 teams but on occasion throw a 7-10 team in. funny thing is I am definetly ahead on these I have good fortune we will say when it comes to these bets. At $300-$500 a wager on the 4-7 team parlay with dog odds has made companies like bodog hate me, One thing I have to say is bodog is a good paying company no shit never a problem.
I am interested to hear your plays when you have them.
If you play hockey check the hockey thread from time to time I am normally better than good.Comment -

#4Teasers in college basketball/football sides and totals are the worst possible bets you can make outside of Keno...
However, there is quite a bit of value in NFL teasers like DarkHorse said if you can cross some key numbers.Comment -

#5I agree they are both bad bets but teasers are worse because most of the time if you hit a teaser it would have hit as a parlay.. The spread doesn't matter all that much... What is your guess guys 10-102% of the time...?Comment -

#6It seems with me, that when i played teasers, the games I won in the teasers would have won outright the majority of the time, I do like parlays but only 2 or 3 teams top. Left teasers behind and mostly str8 bets now and my win percentage is much better now as is my bankroll.Comment -
