Will the Mystics make the playoffs?
All they've got to do is win two games against teams playing for nothing (at home v. Atlanta, at New York) and they're in. I'm thinking they'll do it. Has a team eliminated from playoff contention (or playing for nothing like Seattle) won a game in the WNBA this season?

Hmm.. Washington started off the season really well, they were undefeated in their first few games

    then they started to suck.

Their free throw % is ridiculous. You can always hear their coach yelling "TAKE YOUR TIME. JUST RELAX." they've lost many games this season because they can't make their FT.

On the other hand, Harding is just a spark. She'll put up astounding figures but she chokes under pressure when the game is close and she's on the line for the free throws.

    I'd choose Chicago over Washington.

Let's hope their coach doesn't f*ck them over again by benching their rookie (Toliver) who can light it up at any given night (RE: Indiana game, she puts up back to back 3's)

You're ignoring the fact that every WNBA team that's been playing for nothing (locked into a playoff spot) or has been eliminated from playoff contention hasn't won a game yet this season.

That streak will end with the Storm/Silver Stars game but I'm thinking the chances that the Dream will bring their A game is nil (they should rest their regulars too) and then the Mystics just have to beat New York who's playing for nothing and lost four straight.

Don't forget that if the Sky win tomorrow and the Mystics win their last two the Sky are out and the Mystics are in.

I'm considering a two team ML parlay with the Sky and Mystics.

That game's the equivalent of a pre-season game, gambling on that is really gambling.

Here is why I'm on Silver Stars
            1. Vicky Johnson's last game - this is on par with Lisa Leslie retiring last night at Staples. No way in hell they're losing.

            2. Storm have not won at the AT&T center since 2005

            3. Storm on the road is an entirely different team to Storm at home. This is the same for the Silver Stars.

Who's playing for the Storm? If Bird and Cash are both out again it's worth considering. Just one thing though, the Silver Stars are not the Sparks, quite frankly I don't really trust them.

Bird, Cash, Jackson and Geralds are out.

The fat chick (Franklin) and the other scrub who scored 2 points against Mercury will be playing.

It was a close game the other night between Storm and Mercury only because the shots weren't dropping for the Mercury, they were only 9-27 from 3 point land.

It'll be tough for that Storm team to beat anybody! I'm just concerned that the Silver Stars will rest their regulars with nothing on the line. I feel like the Sky are the safe bet for tomorrow.

Yeah, I thought that too. The spread might be hard to cover, so ML is the best bet but there isn't much value to be had there.
There is just no way that the league would let the Stars lose this one with it being one of the originals hanging up their jersey in the regular season.

Phoenix vs San Antonio in the semi-finals next week. We'll get them there buddy. Clean sweep. Phoenix will take them out, no contest.

The first game could be interesting in San Antonio. If the Silver Stars win game one I might go all in on the Pheonix ML for games two and three.

I love the Sparks over the Storm in game 1, love it!

How do you feel about the Sky tomorrow?

Seattle has had first round exits ever since 2005. After winning the championship in 04 (the only year they hadn't faced LA in the semi's) they have had their asses whooped in a 3 game series. If history repeats itself, it's going to be: lose @ LA, win @ home, lose @ home. Always plagued with injuries.

Agree with you there. Silver Stars always get lucky at home. They beat LA at home last year on a shot from Sophia Young that was unbalanced, a prayer shot. Candace Parker was hella pissed about that. She told the press after that the 'Hail Mary' shot was the only reason why the Stars won.

Sky - I got my money in there as soon as the line came out. Would've liked -2, but -3 will do. I'm just a bit concerned as to why the line hasn't moved yet. ATL @ WAS has moved 1 point, SEA @ SAN has moved .5 but Chicago is stuck at 3. Why?

If their coach puts Toliver in, she can easily put up 20+ but in the past few games against Detroit, he has benched her. He has told the press that Toliver is ineffective in games against teams with good defense. BULLSHIT. She hit up 3 back to back 3's against Indiana, the best defensive team in the league. Old man coach has something against the rook. Let's pray he doesn't DNP her.

Also, I expect the home crowd to lift their players up. I wouldn't be surprised if Detroit come out strong but home crowd will be the 6th man and pull them through it.

I also like how Detroit have abused the 'hardship' rule in the WNBA, DNP one player to sign up some kid scrub to play their last regular season game. Rumor has it that Hornbuckle is out, her knee was tweaked apparently (?) or Ford is sitting it out.

Just got to grab the boards, stop the Detroit rookie Zellous and Nolan had 34 against NYL, I am expecting her to go from hot to stone cold.

                        Did you book Chicago yet?

I think NY wins tomorrow eliminating Washington. It should be a close back and forth game. The bookies should make this a PK. I believe NY wants to spoil Washington's hopes of the playoffs. And NY will prob. want to win the last game at home for the fans. But all Washington needs is a win and their in. Because they have a better point total than Chicago in the head to head series. But again I NY will prob. get it done tomorrow.

This is really quite a trend:

Every WNBA team that's been playing for nothing (locked into a playoff spot) or has been eliminated from playoff contention hasn't won a game yet this season when playing a team that's playing for playoff positioning.

                              Doesn't that trend bother you?

LA beat Minnesota and that was really for nothing. I mean they already had a playoff spot locked.

NY wants to win for the home crowd. This is their last game at home. They do not want to disappoint their fans. NY is playing for pride. The coach will not rest their players. NY will be more than happy to keep Washington out of the playoffs lol. This is why I THINK they will win. The line should really be a PK. And I'm liking Sacramento for this same reasoning. But -4 for Sacramento I don't know lol. If it was -3 or -2 yea but -4 the bookies are pushing it. This is Sacramento lol but they will prob. BLOWOUT Minny for the home crowd is what my gut is saying.
