Probably because it's not Arenas thats out
Actually the Wizards have been a very solid team this year. I feel the best way to play this game is the total here. I think the under 218.5 is the only way I could play this game.

4.5 pts is about the right adjustment for a rested home team playing a unrested visitor. That would suggest these two teams are even overall. I rate the Lakers at about 1/2 a point better than Washington with everyone healthy, so perhaps the line is a little high. However, Lakers are playing their 4th game in 5 nights, and teams do poorly ATS in this situation.
The schedule in this situation does make things a bit tricky to handicap, but I agree with you that LA +4.5 is the right side on this one.
Kobe and Arenas have developed a kind of rivalry of late, and they'll both be gunning for a good game here, which means LA will likely stay close the whole game. Here are some quotes regarding Kobe's motivations tonight:
Bryant also warned, "I'll be ready next time."
"Kobe marks dates on his calendar and is secretly saying, 'That's my game right there,"' said Butler, who's headed to his first All-Star appearance. "I'm almost positive this game is marked on his calendar."

4th game of a 8 game eastcoast trip. They are 1-2 so far, but should be 2-1 because of the Kobe suspension.
I actually like the Lakers in this one, them getting 4.5/5 seems to be nice value. Then again, they might over look to Atlanta on Monday, and get blown out by Arenas and company.
Im just passing on the game all together.
