How sweet it would be for Smith to burn his former team -while going against his replacement no less. Fortunately for the Pistons they're not expecting too much from him. Grant & Plumlee are both doing great work. Pistons have drafted well too; Lee/ Bey/ Stewart all solid.

Only took Billy Donovan 36 games to figure out White is not a pg. Bulls finally making Satoransky the man at the controls a couple games back, and starting T.Young a great move also. These guys know how to play basketball. Fighting fatigue here but I think they persevere.

Mavs are the one I feel least sure about. They really ****** up in trading for Richardson. Painted as a 2-way pg, he's really just a mediocre 2-guard that plays the 1. Put any 2-guard at the 1 and they will look good defensively.....

Fatigue getting the Bulls in the end. This schedule is brutal, 5g7n for them.

Good game for Richardson -they need to see that more than once in a blue moon. Mavs clearly a top two team in the west though.

I'm back!

Tonight I.Thomas makes his NBA return for a Pels team missing a lot of key players. Think he gets eviscerated by Young & Williams. Also think S.Hill & Gallinari will defend Williamson well because they're both strong & quick -quick feet at least.

Lakers seem to have gotten over that stretch where they missed their two stars terribly. They're still not v.good but better prepared with what they have. Gasol goes against his former team here -matchup with Boucher seems not ideal, but then they have Harrell in reserve and that one's not so good for teh Raptors.

That the Suns are the #2 seed in the west by a 2.5 game margin is obscene. I expect that to change over this month. There's a handful of teams out west that are better than them and below them in the standings.
