Jeff Green, DeMarre Carroll to sign with Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets will use their two open roster spots to sign veteran forwards Jeff Green and DeMarre Carroll.


Green averaged 7.8 points in 30 appearances with the Utah Jazz before he was waived on Dec. 24.

Carroll has reportedly agreed to a buyout with the San Antonio Spurs, for whom he averaged 2.2 points in 15 games following his acquisition in a three-team trade last summer.

Both great players but they are guys that do the same thing as many of the other medium-sized forwards that they currently have. Them going all in on this small lineup thing doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Hopefully they will take some of the load off PJ Tucker. I don't see this team making it very far come playoff time.
