Game will never come close to those years at all. Maybe not any other sport either. Those of us that got to those games saw some of the greatest players we will ever see.

I Agree. The Sport was a mix of Football as you had to score and put the ball in the net. No Blood. No foul. That is how we grew up Playing. The Game is SORRY NOW! Hard to imagine from what we grew up watching. I had a Hard time deciding from Foorball or Basketball. Was my Favorite to PLAY and watch. Football did eneded up being my very favorite on both. But come Basketball Season. You would be hyped. And all the Battles between The N.Y.Knicks and Detroit. Boston and L.a. AND Just all the Great Players.where you had to Battle to Score.

I think it’s the fouls. Everything is a foul now. Guys getting kicked out for fouls that would have been a regular foul in 1995. It’s pathetic.

No shit. Just the precision of Bird/Parish on the pick-n-roll was amazing. Or Magic's no look passes. Bird too...both of them made passes that I haven't seen since. No look passes on 1 bounce between 2 guys from 30 feet away.

Detroit really fk'd it up from there. They started just smashing everyone in the lane with Lambeer, Mahorn, etc. and then the league got tired of 88-84 so you have the overreaction we have now. Jordan would score 47 ppg if he played in this era

            Agreed.

I used to love the NBA and can barely even watch it anymore.

Lebron should never even be in the same sentence as Jordan.

everything is a foul in college basketball for the most part nba still allows quite a bit of contact they just call flagrants and stuff like that more in college basketball every time someone goes to the basket a foul is called and rarely do you see the defender get credit for a clean block

Thank God for the occasional broadcast of NBA Hardwood Classics for those bad ass years.

I have would have to say 1980-2000. For me those were so memorable. Social media has in my opinion ruined
sometimes the fantasy of sport and it’s players.. we know and see too much of everyone..
