Play - Dallas Mavericks (Game 579). Edges - Mavericks: 25-12 ATS as dogs against rested foes this season, including 17-7 ATS when coming off a loss … Trail Blazers: 6-18 ATS in this series, including 0-4 ATS the last four … We recommend a 1* play on Dallas. Thank you and good luck as always.

1* Take Arizona State (#713)
St John’s is one of the few teams in the NCAA Tournament field with a defensive efficiency ranking outside the Top 100. That’s bad news against an Arizona State squad that can light it up from the perimeter, led by frosh phenom Luguentz Dort, sophomore stud Remy Martin and junior sharpshooter Rob Edwards. Throw in the low post rebounding work from Zylan Cheatham (averaged a double double), and you can understand how the Sun Devils won six out of eight down the stretch (both losses coming to Oregon, a tourney team; one in OT); playing excellent basketball right now for Bobby Hurley and company.
The Red Storm, on the other hand, have lost four out of five coming into the Big Dance, the lone victory coming against a mediocre (at best) DePaul team that beat them the week before. Shamorie Ponds is an elite scorer, but the supporting cast around him isn’t; particularly in the low post, where Chris Mullin’s squad has been getting outworked and outrebounded on a nightly basis. Short chalk worth laying! Take Arizona State!
