This team isn't the same from last year and it has nothing to do with CP missing two games. The role players and coaches that left depleted the chemistry from last year. Rockets are not the same on offense or defense. They'll still make the playoffs, but they're not making a run at anything.

Well they did let a big part of their three point shooting leave in Anderson and Ariza. They'll finish 5th in the West.

X2 - I can't believe they reworked the roster the way they did to make room for him. Total ball stopper and exactly the wrong type of player for an up tempo team like HOU. It's going to be interesting to watch the west evolve this year, presumably behind GSW. I can't see LAL or HOU being right behind them which leads to the obvious question then of who? POR, UTA, NO??

reworked?? what are you talking about. they paid him 2.4 mil. the rest of his contract was paid already in a buyout. they just didn't resign the other guys. nothing to do with melo lol.

I don't know all the details but that's really the spin the sports media put on it when it happened. In any case some really good talent left and a washed up Melo is there. Not a great job by HOU management. They were pretty close to getting past GSW last year and CP3 got hurt.
