The pace just seems crazy. I'm not even convinced there are any rule changes making a big impact. The players are just playing with more urgency. The SAC/DEN game was nuts... most shots taken with 15+ seconds on the shot clock. WTF happened to the fat, lazy NBA players walking the ball up the court?
The totals are just nuts but I can't see taking the under. I really can't see taking the overs either when they are around 230. It's been a great start with the overs but the books are catching up quickly and posting some crazy high numbers. I've done okay over the last 5ish years playing just o/u but I don't know what to make of this season's start.Comment -
NBA totals are a crapshoot.
If the teams want it to go over it sails over easily. If they want it to go under it will go under.
When I say “want” I’m referring to pace.
They average about 12-13 points every 3 minutes but I’ve been on an under and the teams scores 23 points in the final three minutes of the first half to push the first half total over.
I’ve also seen teams frantically pick of the pace the final minute (of the first half) and score like 11 points. It’s happened so much that I don’t hardly even play totals anymore.
End of game is nuts as well. There is eaither a ton of fouling that sends it over of the teams quit score of the final 4 minutes and play run the clock down.
It’s unpredictable so given the style of play now betting over seems to be the right idea.Comment -
