The numbers always seem to be a little inflated- People always want to pick a player thats gonna have a good night so I just blindly went UNDER on everything- there were quite a few dogs, many near even money and a few favorites

I'm not sayin this is a thing to do- I did it once before and won more of them than I lost, the juice ate me up and I barely made a tiny profit- I'm sayin if you're gonna bet a player prop, you'll get a better value picking an UNDER ...

    I think

Seems like this is the same concept as betting on all the underdogs. Majority of people tend to bet on favorites, so favorites are a little more overvalued generally.

I agree. For some reason it is more comfortable emotionally to bet favorites or overs.

As far as betting favorites, I think the problem is that most are trying to pick the winner. By definition, the favorite should be the better team and therefore the likely winner. I don't think a lot of thought goes into what the odds should be to make the favorite a "good" wager. Most may have some limit like not wagering above -200, but even that is an artificial cut-off. There is little or no thought given to wagering on the underdog above +200 even though they won't wager on the favorite because they can't get past the "fact" that they think the favorite will win.

I guess its just like picking any game, things have to just go your way- and there's always the threat of overtime with these bets. I've been betting these props in the playoffs this year and have noticed games where hardly anybody is covering their number.... overall scoring has just been down I presume.

You just don't see the lines going down too often on a particular player- Nobody seems to have strong opinions on who's gonna suck on a particular night
