Think I may have stated this before but you want to be playing the second half of the season with your models. Your model doesn't have enough data on Westbrook Melo and Paul George to make an accurate asseessment about the team. So many new teams, new players. Does your model take into account such massive talent? Or the fact that chemistry issues could be a problem against a more seasoned team like the Spurs versus not so much a problem against a shit team like the Knicks?

These are variables that come into play. Not to mention matchup analysis. Stats from last year don't mean much.
