Hi guys, ive been following the ck threads for a while now and have learnt alot about how to bet smart.
Im from Australia and our code is AFL (Australian Football League) and i have been applying some of cks techniques with good success so i thought i would share a tip for this week if anyone is interested!
This week im on Melbourne Demons +5.5 against West Coast Eagles. Melbourne are the NBA equivalent of the Clippers..they just plain suck!
Their lines are usually +20 at a minimum and against good sides go right up to +60!
West Coast are an average team but they are coming off a great match beating the reigning premiers (also works in with cks 'fade the team who beats the champs')
The line has come in to +3.5 on the back of the news that Melbournes president, who is the heart and soul of the club, has been diagnosed with cancer, with the belief they will lift for their man. The original line though was put up before this was known.
We dont have a consensus of what the public is betting, however there are stats to show what team the public is picking head to head. Of the 22,00 tips entered, 76% are on West Coast. That number would be higher had it not been for the reasoning mentioned above. (5.5pts is as good as a pick em')

Adding to the AFL tip (Melbourne vs West Coast).. West Coast havent won away from home in donkey years.. From hot, sunny Perth to the cold raining M.C.G (Melbourne) is a long, daunting trip for a young squad.. Melbourne +5.5 is a solid bet..
Another game worth a mention is the clash of the undefeated teams, Geelong and St.Kilda (Both 14-0!) A preview of the Grand Final i say!
Geelong are by far and away the best team over the past 2 or so years. Geelong have also had the wood on the Saints in recent years. At Etihad Stadium Geelong have won their past 12 straight by an average of 59 points... huge.. they have averaged a score of 139 themselves whilst keeping the opposition to a measly 80 points.. St Kilda have been hot all year but havent really faced anything like the might of Geelong.. The Cats (Geelong) will be looking to show them who is boss and in a big way.. Their Coach has promised that it will be 'Bloody'...
Geelong -10.5 pts at -190 is a great bet for a great game

The number is 6 right now for Chicago. I see that an interesting thing is going on with the lines for the games in San Antonio between these two teams. The lines go 9,7,8 and now 6. Very intersting...Well anyway time for the play which we have already talked abutat length. With the line starting of at 6.5, and dipping back to 6 now, I don't think that we will get the extra juice that we are looking for. So I think that the play would be fine at 6 o 6.5. I am gonna wait until noon or 1:00pm before I make our play to get through the ignorant line movements that are coming up in a few minutes..Comment -

Diana Taurasi, the leading scorer for the Phoenix Mercury basketball team, was cited with driving under the influence in Phoenix early Thursday morning, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Taurasi, a guard for the team, was pulled over at 2:30 a.m. in the area of Seventh Avenue and Camelback Road, allegedly for speeding and lane violations, police said.
A police officer conducted several field sobriety tests after he first detected the order of alcohol, the department said.
