#2They're back! With Iguodala apparently leaving the Warriors it's game on out West. How quickly things change.Comment -

#3Wow. I can't believe Indy did that.
We know PG is probably only here for a year but this did three key things.
1. Showed Westbrook that OKC is willing to get him help. Hopefully this entices RW to sign this summer.
2. Made OKC a top four team in the West. I would put them fourth but at least now they can play with Houston and San Antonio. KD and Curry are injury prone. You never know what will happen.
3. Dumped a bad contract in Oladipo.
I was listening to local radio on the way home from work and everyone here was talking about how OKC didn't have any players anyone wanted and they didn't have any CAP room because they panicked and gave Kanter, Oladipo, and Adams too much money when KD left.
Well, they just dumped a bad contract. They will actually pay George less than Oladipo was making so it saves hem money. Even if PG doesn't re-sign, they'll actually have some money to do something next year. It was a great move for OKC.
Heck, OKC could turn around and package George with Kanter to dump another bad contract and start getting some assets.
WTF was Indy thinking?Comment -

#4Stupid Pacers. They could have gotten more from Cavs or Celtics. I don't understand about " not wanting to trade with same conference team" thing. If you are rebuilding, why you worry about Cavs or Celtics becoming better with the trade? kinda excited with all these big trades though, and it's only June. Maybe winning next year title is not that automatic for Warriors anymore.Comment -

#5i like the idea of okc trying to package George/Kanter to move another bad contract & open UP space to shop next season. Just don't see any big names wanting to go there though. Anyhow, might be only way to save hoops in OKC cause George is bolting regardless & eventually Russ will have his back against the wall & be left w/ little choice.Comment -

#6Sounds like a lot of burnt fingers around the league with "sources" everywhere claiming shock. I like the deal, given the circumstances. Oladipo didn't get the ball in OKC so was made to look bad -he's a fan favourite here already because of his collegiate career. Sabonis I really like -v.impressive for a rookie last year.
So in summary they got two quality pieces for the future. Stephenson was an amazing pick up for them late last season; 3 years 15mil. Consider what J.Simmons is getting offered now. Both tough defenders, both excellent drivers. Pritchard is doing a good job imo.Comment
