Yes, a Golden State-Cleveland Finals will be highly entertaining.
In the meantime, though, these games have been horrific to watch.

Playoffs have been a joke. Round 2 matchups more lopsided than the first round.

The most ridiculous thing are not blowouts as such - as the sick pattern of winning by 20 one day and losing by 20 the next. Especially when that happens between +/- equally strong teams.

People are so stupid though. They continue to tune in. Want the product to change stop watching! Make ratings suffer. If people keep watching then you'll get the same garbage

Okay, so what exactly would the league do if we stopped watching because of blowouts? Make every Jazz bucket worth 3 points within the arc and 4 points from outside it? Likewise for the Raptors?
Maybe they could just widen the rims on the Jazz's end of the floor or force Curry to wear ankle weights to slow him down... How would you propose the league rectify the lack of competitiveness in the playoffs?

simple... stop the super teams from being created. James started this current trend with Miami. There have always been superteams, like the 90's Bulls, early 2K spurs, 80's Lakers, etc. But it has never been like this where veteran players are piling in on top of the all stars that are already there, and just making teams unstoppable.
in other words, the NBA has too much player movement. It is too easy for players to move teams for money/championships. Luxury tax removes the salary cap too, there is no point having a salary cap with that in play.

I don't really see the Cavs as a "super team" though. They've obviously got some talent, but they shouldn't be able to sleepwalk through the playoffs with nary a challenge. The way I see it, the NBA should seek to make other teams better rather than making Cleveland worse via roster restrictions or whatever.
In other words, I think the talent pool is far too diluted and if you trimmed the number of teams in the league by four, you could consolidate the personnel into fewer rosters and bolster the product on the court.
Imagine, for example, if the Raptors had another player the caliber of Hassan Whiteside in their starting lineup, and maybe a Nicholas Batum type to come off the bench... don't you think Toronto would be trading punches with the Cavs at that point?

Stick to a salary cap that wasn't ridiculous. If these guys want to play on super teams then make them really feel it in the wallet. This league needs parity. Your responses to what I said are kind of absurd
