Contest for totals. Simple and possible instructive.

Stage 1: All the contestants compete for several weeks. The 4 contestants with the highest unit totals move on to stage 2.

Stage 2: The contestant with the highest unit total gets the #1 seed, the contestant with the second highest unit total gets the #2 seed and so on.

We have a playoff where the #1 seed takes on the #4 seed and the #2 and #3 seeds face off.

Stage 3: The winners of the first playoff round meet in the final.
