Finishing #1 could be the worst spot for Golden State!
Okay sure, GSW might run over anyone this year meaning who they play doesn't matter. But IF you were going to pick the worst match on paper it would be the team with the best front court. More specifically, the team with the best post game. You could say the Cavs or GSW themselves have better front courts but those are perimeter players on offense.

So who has the best bigs? The Spurs, with Gasol back, which would be the West Finals matchup, and now the Pelicans. That is a bruising path to the Finals! Assuming they make it to meet the Cavs, they may be beaten up again like last year.

Has anyone seen if the Warriors futures prices have changed since Cousins to NO was announced?

Golden State would like to conserve energy and win in 4 1st Round. Don't think they'd want to drag this out to 6 games etc.

Anything is possible... but I think Golden State would roll anyone in the 1st Round.

Come on... you really think books are gonna move their future odds because they just might be -5000 instead of -15000 in the first round?

Players don't make the game, refs make the game. Been the way of the nba for a long time, even before stern

Grizzlies had a big team. Didn't work out well for them.

Yeah that's why it took James -- the NBA's poster boy since day 1 -- 10 years to win a championship?

                  Horrible theory.

Goat, shady's actually 100% right on this. Basketball refs impact the game way more than refs in other sports.

I have them losing maybe a total of 3 all playoffs

Pelicans going nowhere this season. Watch out next year though.

it's somewhat interesting as memphis - with good big men - has been a pretty decent giant-killer the past 10 years.

but the game isn't about big men so much anymore anyway, unless you are talking elite rim protectors.

how much better is NO going to be with 3 good players instead of 2? and let's see how davis/cousins co-habitate..
